Players Unlimited

DeNeed Brown of the Washington Post has written an article about Players Unlimited, a D.C. theater company made up mostly of actors with intellectual disabilities.  The troop was started some 25 years ago by a social worker who believed that people with mental disabilities needed a stage where they could have a voice. See the entire article here.

Players Unlimited will be presented at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Atlas Performing Arts Center, 1333 H Street NE, Washington, DC 202-399-7993. Admission is $10 for general admission, $5 for group home residents. www.atlasarts.org.
