ERS Reports

Participating Community Rehabilitation Program (CRPs) have access to Employee Research System (ERS) reports and are able to request custom reports. ERS enables NPAs to answer questions such as:

  • How many people live or work in which Congressional districts, and how much do they make?
  • What are the demographics of our workforce? Of the AbilityOne workforce?
  • How do the wages, hours worked, and productivity in our organization compare with the AbilityOne Program overall?
  • How does our organization compare with others by line of business?
  • What impact has our Quality Work Environment (QWE) initiative had on employment outcomes for our workforce?

The information in ERS answers questions about the NPA workforce and the outcomes of the AbilityOne Program. These insights can help the NPAs grow their businesses, defend and expand the AbilityOne Program and other work for people with disabilities that they serve, and also provide insights that can help NPAs to improve the quality of the work environments they provide. Benchmarking reports enable NPAs to compare their outcomes against aggregate data by industry, geography, and various demographics.

    Reports from ERS include:

    • AbilityOne (Program‐wide) reports
    • NPA‐specific reports, which include reports containing data about a single NPA, and reports benchmarking a given NPA against a broader aggregate of data (such as a NISH region, the AbilityOne Program, a given industry or line of business, etc.)
    • Other reports, such as reports on State Use or Other (non‐AbilityOne, non‐State Use) work, at the aggregate level

      Types of reports may be:

      • Snapshots of a time period, e.g., First Quarter 2011, or all of 2010
      • Trends over time
      • Comparison of time periods, groups of people, locations, industries, etc.
      • Distributions, in which data is clustered and compared (e. g., wages for workers under age 30, 30 to 40, 40 to 50, etc.)

Key parameters for a report include the time period or time periods to compare, the overall group of people to include or groups of people to compare, geographic regions to include or compare (e.g., states, regions), and the type of output format (table, chart, or Excel extract).

A participating NPA or other system user can request to receive a particular report on a regular basis, request to modify an existing report, or request development of a new report.
