Terms of Use

USER AGREEMENT

These pages contain the User Agreement ("Agreement") between you and the Institute for Economic Empowerment, the non-profit publisher of this Web site (the "Site"). This Agreement sets forth the terms and conditions for your use of this Site. Your use of the Site constitutes your agreement to these terms and conditions.

  1. General. The Institute for Economic Empowerment grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited right to access, use and display this Site and the materials provided hereon, provided that you comply fully with this Agreement. The contents of the Site are only for your personal and/or organizational, noncommercial use. You agree not to interrupt, or attempt to interrupt, the operation of the Site or any part of it in any way. All elements of the Web site, including without limitation the general design and the Content, are protected by trade dress, copyright, moral rights, trademark and other laws relating to intellectual property rights. The contents of this site are intended for the contemporaneous viewing by users of the site and may be downloaded by users of this site consistent with the mission and purposes of the Institute for Economic Empowerment and for the personal and/or organizational, noncommercial use of such users. Except as may be otherwise indicated in specific documents within the Web site, you are authorized to view, play, print and download documents, audio and video found on our Web site for personal, organizational, informational and noncommercial purposes only. You may not modify any of the materials, and you may not copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer or sell any information or work contained on the Web site absent prior written consent of the Institute for Economic Empowerment. All trademarks, service marks and trade names of the Institute for Economic Empowerment and of NISH used herein (including, but not limited to, the NISH name and logo) (collectively "Marks") are trademarks or registered trademarks of NISH or its partners, vendors or licensors. You may not use, copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit, distribute or modify trademarks of the Institute for Economic Empowerment or of NISH in any way, including in advertising or publicity pertaining to distribution of materials on this Web site, without NISH's prior written consent. The use of trademarks of the Institute for Economic Empowerment or of NISH on any other Web site or network computer environment is not allowed. The Institute for Economic Empowerment and NISH prohibit the use of its trademarks as a "hot" link on or to any other Web site unless establishment of such a link is approved in advance.

  4. Framing this Web site. Running or displaying this Web site or any information or material displayed on this Web site in frames or through similar means on another Web site without our prior written permission is prohibited.   8. Release. In the event that you have a dispute with one or more other users of the Web site, you release the Institute for Economic Empowerment and NISH (and their officers, directors, agents, employees and Content providers) from claims, demands and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, suspected and unsuspected, disclosed and undisclosed, arising out of or in any way connected with such disputes.

  9. Termination. In addition to any other rights of the parties set forth herein, the Institute for Economic Empowerment may cancel or terminate this Agreement at any time. The Institute for Economic Empowerment also reserves the right to restrict, suspend or terminate your access to the Site, without notice, with respect to any breach or threatened breach by you of any portion of this Agreement.

  10. Entire Agreement. These Terms and Conditions are the entire agreement between the user and the Institute for Economic Empowerment and supersede any prior understandings or agreements (written or oral).

In June 2009, the Institute contracted with Mathematica Policy Research to explore the use of an employer payroll tax credit to provide employers with stronger incentives to hire people with disabilities.

Mathematica developed a preliminary model of a budget-neutral employer payroll tax credit, estimating the potential cost savings to the Federal government of companies employing people with disabilities.
