Budget Scoring Model

The AbilityOne Program leverages the buying power of the United States government to generate jobs for people with significant disabilities. Using AbilityOne, Federal agencies buy products and services from nonprofit agencies employing people with significant disabilities.

The budget scoring model is used to obtain estimates of the potential savings to the federal government from procuring goods and services through the AbilityOne Program. Federal agencies that adopt this model allow them to include less than the full cost of AbilityOne contracts in their budgets.
