Veterans Workforce Initiatives

The Institute is currently identifying opportunities that are consistent with the career goals and employment interests of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) veterans with significant disabilities.

Working in conjunction with the National Organization on Disability (NOD), the Institute is conducting research to identify, develop, and test both employment and ongoing employment support strategies that are responsive to the short- and long-term employment needs of significantly disabled veterans who have been identified as having a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and/or a post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

The Institute is also testing employment support strategies that are responsive to the long-term employment needs of disabled veterans with traumatic brain injury (TBI), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and/or major depression.
